Help-A-Housesm
Help-A-Housesm is a unique effort that connects volunteers and donations with projects in Goshen that support safe, attractive and affordable housing.
Volunteers repair the homes of low- to moderate-income homeowners and assist LaCasa in maintaining its affordable rental properties. This program makes a significant impact toward improving older city neighborhoods in Goshen.

Kuko Rezendiz and Lucia Cardenas from Frontline Ministries worked on a roof replacement on May 10, 2008. They were guided by Jerrol Shaum, the professional volunteer on this job.
LaCasa's goal is to attract $1,000,000 each year in State and Federal grants to support safe, attractive and affordable housing in the Goshen Community. These grants require a local match of 25% to demonstrate community support. Call

The Elkhart County Board of Realtors came out strong to replace windows at this house.
Help-A-House
sm 2008 Community Work Day was a beautiful day with 312 volunteers working at 17 sites throughout Goshen. They:
- repaired porches and a deck
- installed 59 new windows
- painted two houses and a lot of trim
- replaced 6 roofs
- rebuilt a driveway and moved a garage
- tore out a bathroom
- began painting LaCasa's exterior and getting it ready for siding.
